Yes I am! Well, you won’t understand but I will try to let you. Strongly possessed. By what or who? I will tell you.
Let me start with Mark 5: 2 – 5
“As Jesus stepped ashore, a demon-possessed madman came out of the graveyard and confronted Him. This man continually lived among the tombs, and no one could subdue him any more, even with a chain; For he had been bound often with shackles for the feet and handcuffs, but the handcuffs of [light] chains he wrenched apart, and the shackles he rubbed and ground together and broke in pieces; and no one had strength enough to restrain or tame him. Night and day among the tombs and on the mountains he was always shrieking and screaming and beating and bruising and cutting himself with stones.”
Yes, this man was possessed by demons who influenced his behaviour. He was insane, out of his mind and out of control. He was of no use to himself and to the society.
Thank be to the Lord Jesus. He cast out the demons controlling this madman and he came back to his senses (verse 8 to 13).
Is that my possession?
LET’S TALK

Let me ask you: Who and what is influencing your behaviour? Ask yourself.
“Nobody. I influenced myself.”
Well, I heard you loud and clear.
What if I tell you one truth – that every human being on earth is either influenced by demonic spirits or by GOD. And you have a lot to do in deciding who influences you. God is on the option list, so to speak. He cannot force you. YOU! The YOU has to decide.
When you look at that Bible text above, you might say, “I’m not mad. I don’t do that. I’m not possessed.” That may be true. You may or you may not. I don’t know.
But who influences you?
“My friends! We influence each other”
I can hear you laughing loud. Yes, your friends do. Who influence your friends?
“I guess everything. We live in a digital age. We choose what is best for us.”
Awesome! I like the response. Let me ask you one more questions – perhaps a few more. Do those things that influence you or your friends in your most decisions draw you to God or away from Him?
“What has God got to do in this?”
Don’t be mad at me. I heard you. There is a problem there. I will come back to it.
Or you said, “Well, I guess we make the best decisions that keep us safe.”
Smart you! Well, let me add to that: do those decisions or actions retain the knowledge of God in your head?
“Hmmmm! Well, I guess so. Since it’s not sin per se.”
You are smart! But can you confidently look up to heaven and say “Father God, I’m doing this to your glory!”
Did you just chuckle? Okay, here is where I’m going.

We need to ask ourselves what is controlling us. Is it the things of the world or is it God and His word. We shouldn’t allow things of the world to control us. Our flesh should not have power over us. We can fight back with the scriptures. And we can also stay away from things of the flesh by reading the word and constantly speaking it. May God continue to bless us
