Yes. Does He? I’m talking about personal relationship. Does He know you? I know He knows you, but I’m talking about a deeper two-way special relationship between you and Him. Not in the general sense of it. The same way Enoch, Abraham, Moses, David, Jeremiah, Paul and others have personal relationship with Him. Don’t get mad at me. I will give you few references to establish the point.

1. Abraham – God’s friend
Can He say of you like Abraham in Genesis 18:17 – 19 (AMPC)?

17 And the Lord said, Shall I hide from Abraham [My friend and servant] what I am going to do,18 Since Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed through him and shall bless themselves by him?
19 For I have known (chosen, acknowledged) him
[as My own], so that he may teach and command his children and the sons of his house after him to keep the way of the Lord and to do what is just and righteous, so that the Lord may bring Abraham what He has promised him.

Did you see what He called Abraham in that passage? Not to mention how many times He called his name – Abraham!

Imagine the Most High sitting in His glory – the All Sufficient God – calling a man’s name repeatedly! Out of whatever the population of the earth was at that time and the entire population of the angelic beings! Of course, it’s innumerable. Yet, Abraham’s name tumbled out of Him repeatedly!

I ask: Does He know you on a personal level?

2. Moses – God’s servant
Can He say of you like Moses in Numbers 12:6 – 8?

And He said, Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I the Lord make Myself known to him in a vision and speak to him in a dream. But not so with My servant Moses; he is entrusted and faithful in all My house. With him I speak mouth to mouth [directly], clearly and not in dark speeches; and he beholds the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid to speak against My servant Moses?

Did you see that about Moses? He boasted about Moses! He called him His servant same way He called Abraham His servant. He spoke to him face to face. They had a personal relationship.

3. David – a man after God’s heart
Back to my examples: What about David in 1 Samuel 13:14?

14 But now your kingdom shall not continue; the Lord has sought out [David] a man after His own heart, and the Lord has commanded him to be prince and ruler over His people, because you have not kept what the Lord commanded you.

4. Jeremiah – God’s chosen instrument
Can He say of you like Jeremiah?

Then the word of the Lord came to me [Jeremiah], saying, Before I formed you in the womb I knew [and] approved of you [as My chosen instrument], and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you; [and] I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. Jeremiah 1:4-5

5. Paul the Apostle
What about Saul turned Paul in the New Testament in Acts 9:3-4?

Now as he traveled on, he came near to Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him, And he fell to the ground. Then he heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me [harassing, troubling, and molesting Me]?

That’s five witnesses for you. So the truth is established. It means, He must know you as you desire to know Him. He knows all things and all beings. But does He know you by name? I know you will tell me He does. I believe that is in the general sense of Him knowing all His creatures. Do you have a relationship with Him?

Hidden behind their characteristics are trust, faithfulness, friendship and constant communion with the Lord.

He continually reveals Himself to you over time. He becomes fond of you. I tell you, you don’t know how glorious it is for Him to walk into your room and talk with you. You don’t know the greatest sense of honor it is when He commands your guarding angel to bring you to His throne room. Or His Spirit lifts you up to His throne. Though you can’t see Him face to face, He shows you His similitude. If you ever experience that, you will see the reality of what John saw in the Book of Revelations.

If you don’t get that, I don’t know what else to tell you. These many I’m talking about and others still living on the earth were/are faithfully and constantly seeking Him like. They are seeking God above every and anything. They desire God and Him only. They are close to God. They want nothing but Him. He delights them. They would rather spend the whole of their day and night with Him. The Most High God is fond of them. They are His friends on the earth. Whenever the Most High want to enter the earth legitimately, they give Him access. They allow Him into them.

See, my friends! What you read in the Bible about glory cloud is really! I’m not talking about the artificial smoke we pump out on stage in our auditorium. No! No!! I mean, the real glory cloud! Just let Him be your friend. Just cultivate intimacy with Him. Go after Him days and months and years. You will see Him come down to you. I’m talking of the Lord Jesus. Yes! He will walk into your room and have fellowship with you. Oh, my Lord! My precious Lord! How glorious You are to fellowship with man! Glorious King You are!

Preaching to someone one day, the person asked, “How are you sure heaven is real? has anyone being there? Is it real?” Oh my goodness! My spirit rose in righteous indignation and I screamed, “Yes! Yes!! I have been there!” There was quietness after that. The memories flash through my mind. There was suddenly an awe of God in that atmosphere. Your experience of the Word of God brings back same power and glory when you first experienced Him.
Apostle John said in 1 John 1:3, “that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.” Yes! So that you also may have true fellowship with the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. It is all about Jesus!

See, you don’t know what you have received as the Kingdom of God within you. I wish I can sit you down and open scriptures and tell you; relate the reality to you and watch how the Most High will walk into that meeting. Glorious in holiness! Glorious in holiness!! The glory of the Most High. The power of His resurrection. His majesty on High. Let me try and be calm right now.

Does He call your name? He wants to know you as much as you want to know Him! Let me ask you a question, maybe two. In a school or at home, is it everyone that you speak to or speak to you that are your friends? Of course not! But in the midst of all, there are few that will come much closer to you and you to; you spend more time to find out about each other on a continuous basis. You begin to share the same value; you go out together to almost every where. In no time friendship ensues. Is that right?

You see what I just described above, that is how you He wants to know you. Not in the general sense but on a personal level. Let me give you one more reference.

Enoch Walked with God
Genesis 5:24 says “And Enoch walked in habitual fellowship with God; and he was not, for God took him home with Him.”
He had a habitual fellowship with God! He was frequently in God’s presence. I believe that he so interacted with God that the life and immortality in God rubbed of on him and he was automatically cloaked with his habitation from heaven. His earthly body dissolved and his immortal body came on him. The eternal principle of rapture and immortality was activated because of his terrific pursuit of God. He did not die! He conquered death. If I want to desire something far greater than anything else, I will desire that. I want that.
Just imagine the mysterious encounters he must have had with the Lord. They had to seal it without mentioning a thing about it in the Bible. Well, when you get to heaven you can ask him about all his encounters on earth when walking with God.

The Most High wants to have a personal relationship with you just like Enoch, Abraham, Moses, David, Jeremiah, Paul and even the Apostles and His other children!

Oh that you will give Him time. That you will allow Him to share your time and everything. That you will let Him have a permanent place in your life. That you will give Him unrestricted access to your life. Then you will see His glory, His power and His majesty demonstrated in you; for you, through you and with you.

That according to 1 John 1:3, you also may have true fellowship with the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. See to it that you start that from today.

Glory be to God in the Highest. I hope you are blessed. please take time to listen to the song below.

  1. As Christians we should desire to know God for ourselves just like these men of God did. We also have to love the presence of God very dearly because being in His presence we enjoy His warm embrace and atmosphere of grace in our lives.
