Yeah! Perplexed but not in despair.
Pressed but not crushed.
Broken but not destroyed.
Weary yet strong.

His Word lighted upon Jacob – yeah upon Israel.
I am Israel of God! Hear me loud!
Lights every man.

Where will I behold His face? His glory?
In the darkest hours of the night.
All flesh asleep from drudgery of labor.

My heart longs for Thee
The Most High God
My Father
In the darkest moments of the nights

You light upon every man
Yeah! Upon Thine own
Upon the children of thy bosom
In whom You begotten
Lively hope
By Your Spirit
Not carnal words of flesh
Nor the will of man
But of water and Your Spirit

Born of the Most High
Perplexed, not despair
Thine hope is in me
Hope of glory

Speak not doubts
Calm thine self down
It’s temporary

Yea! Though outward man perishes
There Your glory shines through darkness
Through marvelous light
The God of the whole earth
Yea, Your majesty on high

Pressed but not crushed
Perplexed but not in despair
Your light pushes through me

Your word has lighted upon me
The bricks are fallen down, but we build with hewn stones
Cut me a stone
For I am hewn of Thine Rock
The Rock of Ages
There is no shaking in Him
The sycomores are cut down
But we change into cedars
Not of Lebanon
For Thy voice brakes cedars of Lebanon

You are enthroned in us, yea in me
Thou O Lord sits as King forever
You give strength to us
You bless us with peace

For Your word is forever yea and amen
For You commanded light to shine out of darkness
Shining in our hearts, my heart
Giving light of the knowledge of Your glory
In the face of the Lord Jesus Christ
Your glorious treasure in an earthen vessel

Oh glorious Lord in an earthen vessel
The excellency of Your power
Glory to Your Holy Name forever

Hard-pressed on every side, but not crushed
Perplexed, but not in despair
Having the same spirit of faith as the Master
So I speak as I believe
His words, not the doubts
His words, not the despair

Break off me! For ye speak doubts!
I speak as I believe
Raised up with Him – far above
Reckoning not the things beseeching us
But looking down below
Not only at things seen but temporary
But at things not seen but eternal

We live today
We live tomorrow
We live eternal
Because the Greatest One lives in us
More than a conqueror in all things
Glory!

Note: Please take time to listen to the song at the end of this post. Stay blessed in Jesus name!

Inspired by 2 Corinthians 4: 7 – 16
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— 10 always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. 11 For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. 12 So then death is working in us, but life in you.

13 And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak, 14 knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus, and will present us with you. 15 For all things are for your sakes, that grace, having spread through the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.

16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
