This post has part one and two. There is a link at the bottom to take you part two.

I know your answer would probably be Yes I do! I won’t doubt you. On who do you place your trust? Who is your backbone? What is your support structure? How do you navigate through the smooth or turbulence phases of life? What is your reference point in all of these?

Is God your refuge and support? Who do you love most? Well, that sounds like what the Lord Jesus asked Peter on a fateful day after His resurrection. They just finished breakfast and this mild but intense question was posed at Peter by the Lord: “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?” If you were Peter, you would answer the same as he did. “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” Bu the Lord Jesus asked Peter the same question three times and Peter got it!

When you read about heroes of faith, the scripture says in Hebrews 11: 39 to 40 (AMPC) that:

“And all of these, though they won divine approval by [means of] their faith, did not receive the fulfillment of what was promised, because God had us in mind and had something better and greater in view for us, so that they [these heroes and heroines of faith] should not come to perfection apart from us [before we could join them].”

The Father God promised to send His own Son Jesus to the earth to live, die, resurrect and redeem mankind from sin, sickness and poverty. The Lord Jesus came to show us the way, the truth and life to the Father. He came so that we can have eternal life in us. He said in John 17:3, This is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and the One You have sent.”

He triumphed over Satan and his cohorts and gave us the authority over them all. Colossians 2:15. He revived our spirits and engrafted (joined) our spirits with Him by His Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:13: “For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.” I did a post on You Are Not Doomed, which you can read later by clicking here.

He made us (your spirit) to seat together with Him at the right Hand of the Father in heaven. Though we are physically here on earth with our spirit in the body and His Holy Spirit within us all, our most real position is our spirits seated with Him at the right Hand of the Father. That is where you are! I feel like blowing up right now in excitement.

The Earth Draws You Down

Look! The earth draws you down. Everything your senses assimilate draw you down to the earthly realm. They crowd out your understanding and knowledge of God and prevent you from seeing where you are in Christ Jesus.

You are not earthly, my friend, though you are here now.

Man is a spirit, created in the image and likeness of God. God is Spirit. So you are a spirit. When you come to the Lord Jesus, repenting of your sin and confess Him as your Lord and Saviour, your spirit was immediately regenerated by the Holy Spirit. You became alive unto God. You begin to sense God in your innermost being (that is, your spirit). You begin to gravitate towards the higher realm of Invisible God. Your spirit yearns for Him. You want to be with Him. But the truth is; you are already with Him. The earthly forces make you think earthly.

Friends, if you have not experienced any of the things I mentioned above, honestly, I feel pained for you. And I can point you in the direction. You need God in your life. You cannot go through life without connection to your Maker. Sin of Adam and Eve separated men and women from God until they believe, confess and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. No matter how good you have been from birth till now, that will not save you because as long as you still commit sins, you are an abomination before the Holy God.

Amnesty

Every year, a president of a nation or even governor grants amnesty (official pardon) to notorious criminals in prisons, irrespective of the heinous nature of their crime or sins. They are let out of the prisons to walk as a free man and woman. All sins and punishment wiped away as though they never committed them. The records are wiped clean. That same individuals can go on in life to become great.

In a similar way, there is God grants amnesty to all your sins and allow you to walk free because Jesus pleaded for your pardon through His death and resurrection. You can walk free from sin and eternal death if you accept Him.

When the Most Holy God looks on you without Jesus, His Heart yearns for you to repent, accept and confess Him as your Lord and Saviour; then He will accept you as guiltless and you will become His child.

If you go through life without doing this, you will then face judgement for all your deeds on earth and that is a dangerous path to go because you can never stand before God as righteous without Jesus! I can lead you to Him now. It is as simple as that. If you say in your heart, Okay, I can do it now since it’s me and Him here now then just believe in your heart that Jesus Christ came as a pardon for your sin and to connect you back to your Maker, the God of all beings.

Say after me:

Lord Jesus, I repent of all my sins. I know my good works cannot save me. But You came to the earth, lived and died and resurrected after paying for the sins of mankind. You paid for the wages of my sins with your blood so that I can be united to my Maker. I believe in my heart that you did all this for me also. I accept you from today as my Lord and Savior. Come and dwell in my heart and make me a new person from today till I meet with You. Thank you Father for accepting me as Your child from today. I ask all these in Jesus name. Amen!

That is it! You are now born again! You are now a child of God! Let me encourage you to read a post I made few moths ago on Deeper Intimacy with God. Click here to read it. I will also encourage you to find a Bible believing church and start going there to grow in the knowledge of God. You can also reach out to us via email. Or drop us a message at our contact page.

Now because of you, I redirected my message. That shows how important you are to God. I will now continue the part two of Do You Believe God? which is meant for us that have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Saviour for sometime now.
