Be careful what you wish upon yourself. Be careful. Yesterday I said to myself, “It’s been a while I wrote something, Lord.” And I went through the day trying to beat jet lag in the best way I know. And I did. I laid to sleep and woke up this morning with a song in my spirit which I shared at the end of this write-up. It was a sweet feeling. But it never ended there. I said in my heart, “I wish I could be drunk in the Spirit.” Now, read carefully! Before I could lift myself from the bed, I noticed there was this strong presence of the Holy Spirit that just enveloped my whole body. In a split second, I felt like I was drunk with some strange alcohol. I tell you. I kid not. The ‘feeling’ of someone that is intoxicated with alcohol came so strong upon me. I was overwhelmed with the drunkenness.

Drunk Up

Oh my goodness. It was sweet and churning at the same time. The raw experience of a drunkard came upon me. Oh, I was intoxicated by the Holy Spirit. It is so real like all the other times. Oh, sweet Holy Spirit! The presence of the Holy Spirit bellowing upon my body. Churning my belly like a strong wine. He got me drunk. Flowing down my spirit, His wine intoxicated me. I don’t know how best to describe it to you but I suddenly felt the same way a man or woman would feel when drunk. I still feel so as I write this post.

Apostle Paul exclaimed in Ephesians 5:18, “Don’t get drunk on wine, which leads to wild living. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.” NOG version.

Yes! Be filled with the Holy Spirit. He is ever wanting to fill you. Are you His child? Is Jesus your Lord and Saviour? Yes, He promised to send us the Holy Spirit. And the Holy Spirit has come since the day of Pentecost. He is right here on earth and He is everywhere. But He is here on earth to fill you. To guide us into all truth. To comfort us. To strengthen us. To advocate for us. Glory!

Oh friends! You can get drunk by Him. Did the Lord Jesus not cried out in John 7:37, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink!

Deeper

It is time to go deeper in our intimacy with the Lord. It is time to be filled with all His fullness. Enough is no longer enough. Little is diminishing. The world is screaming at you, choking the precious seeds out of your heart. As you gaze upon the noises of the earth, your soul falls into anguish. We groan within us with groaning which cannot be uttered. The world presses us. It presses all. We are bombarded daily with the intricacies of living.

Jesus said in Matthew 13:22, “And the one on whom seed was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the worries and distractions of the world and the deceitfulness [the superficial pleasures and delight] of riches choke the word, and it yields no fruit.”

Friends, it is time to go deeper with the Lord. There is more to discover in Him. There is more to experience in the Father. Your heart is yearning and crying for solution to the deep anguish in you. You have labored all days but caught nothing like Peter. But there is Someone out there looking for you. Why will you go through life without respite?

“The Almighty Father also has planted eternity in men’s hearts and minds [that is, a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy], yet so that men cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.” Ecclesiastes 3:11.

Note the words in bold “…which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy…”

Not wine. Not drugs. Nothing. Absolutely nothing can satisfy that hunger in you except the Most High God.

I say, except the Most High God! Only Him (the I AM that I AM). Only the Lamb of God that was slain before the foundation of the earth. Only Jesus! It is only through His Holy Spirit that men and women can find the respite for the anguish of souls! Only Him! I say Only HIM!

You have wasted too much time looking for the real. You have wondered around seeking things. seeking pleasure but found pains. You have sought and found sorrow of heart. It is time for you to come back to the Master!

Worry Chokes

It is time to cast your care, your worries, your anxiety and your concerns on Him. It is time. You don’t need to do much. Just tell Him all the worries and cares and anxiety and tell the Lord Jesus, “I cast all my…. (name them) on You. I give them to You now. I refuse to worry again. I refuse to.” Tell Him. Give them to Him. And let them remain with Him. Don’t let your mind trick you to start thinking about them.

When the worries start welling up in your mind, scream loud to yourself, “I shall not worry! I have given them all to Jesus. I shall rest. His Spirit shall instruct me on what to do and not to worry. For He has not given me the spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind.”

The Holy Spirit spoke through Paul in Philippians 4: 6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Go about your business but do not worry in your mind anymore. Seek solution but not worry, not anxiety.

Stop going through life beaten blue black. He is a Father, the Almighty God. Jehovah El-Shaddai! He is Almighty. Our Exceeding Great Reward. He is our Provider. The God of our Lord Jesus Christ that says He will provide all my needs according to His riches in glory!

Jesus Christ is the the same yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 13:8. He never changes. He never lies. It is our senses that will always lure us away from Him. You are the just that shall live by faith. You are the just that walk by faith not by sight! You are!

Take your eyes away from the worries, anxieties and concerns. Look for the solution in what His word says concerning you. Google it! Don’t just sit there. Google for a biblical references on what His promises are concerning that problem. Confess the promises to yourself. Ask Him to give you wisdom on the problem. Ask Him to lead you to the solution. Trust in Him. I say, Trust in Him.

Though the solution tarries, don’t doubt. Stay on the promises of God. Abraham waited for the promise, even when his senses told him it was impossible. Romans 4: 20-24 (NIV) says, “Yet he (Abraham) did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

Wait for Him. Wait on Him. Let Him quench the thirst in your soul! Let Him take the anguish away! Let Him take you deeper into Him.

Deeper Intimacy

It is time to go deeper in our intimacy with Him. It is time to experience a deeper fellowship with the Father. Sit down and study about the Father, about the Lord Jesus. You spend too much time doing other things that do not draw you close to Him.

How much of Him do you know? How much of His words do you know? How much time do you spend to read about Him in a day? In a week? In a month? He is not your last option! Did you hear me? He is your first and all option. Do you realize how you have kept Him away from your day to day activities? From major life decisions? Is He your go-to or your backup? No, you need to change the priority. Do you know what Christ is to you?

It is God who has made you part of Christ Jesus. And Christ has become for us wisdom from God. He is the reason we are right with God and pure enough to be in his presence. Christ is the one who set us free from sin.” 1 Corinthians 1:30 ERV.

There is room to go deeper in the things of God like the vision that Ezekiel saw in chapter 47, verse 3 to 5.

“And when the man (an angel) went out to the east with the line in his hand, he measured one thousand cubits, and he brought me (Ezekiel) through the waters; the water came up to my ankles. Again he measured one thousand and brought me through the waters; the water came up to my knees. Again he measured one thousand and brought me through; the water came up to my waist. Again he measured one thousand, and it was a river that I could not cross; for the water was too deep, water in which one must swim, a river that could not be crossed.” Ezekiel 47: 3-5.

There is more in God. There is a deeper intimacy we can build with the Father. With the Master. With the Holy Spirit. Stay with Him. Quest for more.
