There is a place. A habitation. A Clothing. That man desires everyday – without which life becomes gruesome as the fate of many homeless. I walked through downtown on a rainy Saturday looking for a rain jacket to shelter me from torrential light rain that beclouded the landscape of the city. I beheld everywhere many homeless. The tide of life has hit hard after Covid-19 pandemic.
The homeless, still in the body, yet without home. Hungry and despair. Helpless. Future bleak. Living on little. Hoping to see the sunlight one day.

That is where I want to draw my inference. Whether you are sheltered or homeless, there is a question I want to ask you: Do you have a divine habitation over your life? When the elements turn in rage, where is your shelter?
Well, if you have no idea what I’m talking about (that is, you have not repented of your sins and accepted Jesus as your saviour and Lord), I will refer you to click here to read about Are You Alive. When you are done, you can come back to continue below.
Being Sheltered
Now, let’s continue. I’m talking about being sheltered or clothed with the Holy Spirit. Yes. I’m talking about dwelling in the secret place of the Most High. Abiding under the shadow of the Almighty.
The Most High wants to fill us continuously. He wants to spread Himself over us as an eagle watches over her eaglets. He wants to smear you with His wine. To intoxicate us. But are you willing and obedient to wait on Him?

How much of Him do you desire everyday? How much can you take? Are you satisfied with little or much? Have you gotten to the peak of your walk with Him? Are you satisfied? Do you want more? Or do you want little? When last did you get knocked out privately in His presence?

When last did you feel like Peter saying, “Master, it is good for us to be here; and let us make three tabernacles: one for You…”? Luke 9:33. That moment you just don’t want the intimate worship to end? That moment that you feel if you move or say a word, you will profane the divine atmosphere around you. That moment, like Peter, you yearned “I love this moment. I don’t want it to lift yet.”
Do you need more? Or do you need little? The Lord Jesus said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.” Matthew 5:6.

Are you yearning more and more for His in-filling? Are you desiring to be intoxicated day by day with His presence? Is His rivers of living water bubbling out of your spirit day after day? How much of Him do you desire?
Oh that I may be filled continuously with all the fullness of God. All! All His fullness!
The Lord Jesus screamed aloud in John 7:37, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink!” He speaks of His Holy Spirit. You can drink more everyday. You can wait on Him. Let Him brood over you and fill you daily with His wine. Not regular wine. “But ever be filled and stimulated with the Holy Spirit.” Ephesians 5:18 (AMPC).
Do you want more? Or do you want less?
Your habitation is His Presence. He wants you and I to come into His rest. To stand rest assured in the finished work of redemption. To stand assured in His redemptive promises for us.
He delivered us from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of His dear Son Jesus. Colossians 1:13. Believe that. Don’t you doubt it! He delivered us from sin and sickness. 1 Peter 2:24.
Holy Spirit Within & Upon Us
It is the Holy Spirit that will continuously quicken your spirit to the eternal truth. Don’t let Him out of your affairs! Let Him into all! Let Him in. Let Him brood upon you as an eagle. Let His presence overshadow you. Let His glory radiates in your life. Be conscious of His power. Did not our Lord Jesus say, “You shall receive power when the Holy Ghost has come upon you?” Acts 1:8

You forget daily. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead resides in you. The same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is within you!
Did you not read it in Romans 8:11? That says, “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”
The Spirit of God gives life. He gives power. He is in you and with you. Press further into Him. Let Him be your habitation. Let Him be the One you go to daily and yearn, “Fill me Lord! I need you more and more.”
And He will. Because the Lord Jesus said in Matthew 5:6 that “those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled” He empowers you to go through everyday with His power. Be conscious of it. Walk in the understanding that the Most High has given you His power to triumph over circumstances that are not according to His plan and purposes.
The Holy Spirit will quicken His words in your heart (spirit). He will reveal the Father and Jesus to you daily. As you study the Bible, He will reveal the Father to you. He will interpret scriptures to you. He will bring all truths to your remembrance. He will shed the love of God in your heart (your spirit). He will teach you all things.

It is a total package. Premium delivery! We have all things to triumph in life. The Father has given us all things that pertains to life and godliness, including His Holy Spirit.
2 Peter 1:2-4 says, “Grace and peace be multiplied to you (us) in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”
The divine power! We are partakers of the divine nature of God because His Holy Spirit is in us and with us. The Father sent Him to the earth to inhabit us. Will you inhabit Him too? Will you? Will you let Him brood on you daily? Intoxicating you?
Be intentional! Ask Him to fill you daily and you will see divine things happening in you daily.
