Well, I can imagine some of you shifting uncomfortably. Don’t worry. Shift as much as you can. I’m talking about it. It doesn’t change the truth.
In fact let me step it up. Do you know you are the head of principality and power? I mean the very high ranking evil angels from which witches and wizards derive their power from.
How? Are you out of your mind? I’m not. Well to you that feel you have the power of witchcraft or wizardry, I resist you in the name of the Son of God, Jesus Christ my Lord. I command you to desist from your evil maneuver right now.
Okay. Let’s go on.
See, you are the head of principalities and powers; or dominions and authority! You know some natural kings are called the husbands of wizards and witches. You know that right? Okay.
But you are the head over all principality and power, including those that empower the “Oko oso. Oko aje” (husband of witches and wizards).

Here’s the proof. Turn to Colossians 2:9-10, “For in Him (Christ) dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you (that’s you) are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.“
Colossians 2:9-10 NLT version says, “For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.“
Where is Your Allegiance?
Now if you are uncomfortable about this…well, maybe you are afraid of them. Or you have pacts with them. The name of Jesus will deliver you before you get to the end of this reading. There’s no gain in being part of them. The end thereof is death – physical, spiritual and eternal death. The Satan’s intention is “only to steal and kill and destroy; I (Jesus speaking) have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23. You can come out of it in Jesus name. Yes, you can.

Colossians 2:9-10 says, “For in Him (Christ) dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you (that’s you) are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.”
Since Christ is the head of all principality and power; and you are in Christ, so you are by extension the head of principality and power! Did you get it?

Or you don’t know? But you fear evil beings that suppose to be shaking at your righteous commands! Satan this! Satan that!! Pause for a moment.
Colossians 1:16 says:
“For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and FOR HIM.”
You didn’t get it? Read the (b) part of verse 16 “…All things were created through Him and FOR Him.” Colossians 1:16b.
Since you are in Christ, they are also created FOR YOU through Christ.
Do you get it now? Okay, let me give you one more scripture in 1 John 4:17:
“And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.”
Did you read that? We live like Jesus in this world! Another translation says, “as he is so also are we in this world” We are a physical body of Jesus on the earth. The authority upon the Christ the Head is also on us His Body. Ephesians 5:30.
“Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body.” Colossians 1:18
Let it sink.
Conclusion
- Since the fullness of God dwells in Jesus Christ, it also dwells in us His Body, the Church. Colossians 2:9.
- Since Christ is the head of all principality and powers, dominions and thrones; you and I are also the head over them because we are the Body of Christ.
- Since thrones, dominions, principalities and powers were created FOR CHRIST JESUS, by divine engraftment as His Body, they are also created for us. Colossians 1:16
“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.“ Ephesians 2:4-6
We are seated with Christ “far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.” Ephesians 1:21
That is our authority over Satan, principalities, powers, rulers of darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in heavenly places, including any earthly beings that derive their power from these satanic beings.
So what do you do when evil beings that you are head over rear their rebellion against you? You resist them. You command them to stop in Jesus name.
There is power in the name of Jesus. He gave us the power of attorney to use His name.
Jesus said in John 14:13, “And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.“
“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11
