In My Name

After writing the post on “How do you end your prayers“, I have constantly had this nudge to write about IN MY NAME. In Jesus Name. Thank you Lord Jesus for who You are. In Your Name, we have access to all that You are to us in this life and in the life to come. We give You all the glory and honour for who You are to us. No one can come to the Father except through You. We reverence that Name that is above all names in heaven, on earth and in hell.

You have overcome! You triumphed over principalities, powers and dominions. You did it for us.

Holy Spirit told us through Apostle Paul in Colossians 2:15 that:

“You made a public spectacle of all the powers and principalities of darkness, stripping away from them every weapon and all their spiritual authority and power to accuse us. And by the power of the cross, Lord Jesus, You led them around as prisoners in a procession of triumph. He was not their prisoner; they were His!” (The Passion Translation) 😅😅😅

You stripped all the spiritual tyrants in the universe of their sham authority at the Cross and marched them naked through the streets. (Message version). Glory to JESUS!!! Did you read that? Spiritual tyrants! He marched them naked through the streets! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 That should make you laugh.

Yes, He did that for you and I. Jesus marched them naked through the streets. He did.

On the cross, He took away the power of the bad spirits that have authority to rule people. He showed clearly that He Himself has won against them. Now everyone can see that those bad spirits have no power. (Easy version) 🤣😅😅😅😅

Glory be to God!

Friends, let me tell you, He said in Mark 16: 17 – 18, “And these signs will follow those who believe: IN MY NAME they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Don’t go yet! John 14:13 – 14, Jesus said “And whatever you ask IN MY NAME (in Jesus name), that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything IN MY NAME, (in Jesus name) I will do it.”

If that does not get you excited, I beg of you to read verse 12 of that John 14, where Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.”

Whao! And verses 13 to 15 now say, “And whatever you ask IN MY NAME (in Jesus name), that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything IN MY NAME, (in Jesus name) I will do it.”

Honestly, some scriptures should make you scream and jump in excitement. I wanted to say holy excitement but I’m not sure if that is correct. Did you say, “It’s allowed”? I go with you then. 😅

Look at another one in John 16: 23 – 24, where the Lord Jesus said again, “And in that day (in the days we live now) you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father IN MY NAME (in Jesus name) He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing IN MY NAME. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”

Did you read that? Good! You are flowing with me.

I once wrote a blog, “My Insanity Gone“ (you can click to read later) where we prayed for some mentally ill people. The Word of God that jumped into my spirit was Mark 16: 17 – 18, “And these signs will follow those who believe: IN MY NAME they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.“

Those underlined words blazed through my spirit like fire. The fire coursed through my whole body. Like a spring on my feet, I felt the energy. There was a deep conviction that Jesus could not have lied about that. Since He said it, so shall it be. I jumped up, fired by the Word. Intoxicated without any fear of reprisal attacks from the fellows in front of me. The Holy Spirit descended like fire.
Those words intoxicated my spirit and my soul. I stepped on ‘water’. Fearless. And to the glory of the King of kings, Lord of lords, the One who says I AM that I AM. The Alpha and the Omega, the Healer. He stretched forth His hands and touched those fellows and they were healed.
They had no reason staying there because He had already triumphed over satanic powers more than 2,000 years ago. Drunk by His words, and IN HIS NAME, I mean, In the Name of Jesus, the demons fled. No principalities, no powers, no dominions can stand that name – JESUS! For God the Father has highly exalted Him and given Him a name that is above every other name in heaven, on earth and in hell. Philippians 2:9 – 11. The Angels know and bow to that name. The satanic powers know and tremble at the mention of that name – JESUS!

That is the name He has given you and I. That is the name JESUS! No other name! No other name is highly exalted above the name JESUS! Sickness flees at that name. Circumstances shift at that name. It is the only name He has given us in which He vested His authority and power.

In every little circumstance, I have seen the name in action. I have called on the name to cancel evil thoughts; to heal sicknesses, to change situations, to get answers to prayers. Nothing more than that. But everything about His Name! I just need to believe. That is my role. You just need to believe. And that is your role. Take Him at His Words. Believe what He says will come to pass. Don’t shift. Don’t let past or present circumstances change your focus on what His words say concerning that situation. Don’t use your head to figure out when. He never told us when He will do it, but to believe. He said in Mark 11:24 that whatsoever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them and you shall have them. He also said in Mark 16: 17 -18 that these signs shall follow them that believe. Them that believe, not them that doubt. Not them that wonder. Not them that know it by head knowledge. Not a mental accent. No! No!! No!!! Study to show yourself approved unto God. Study!!! Seat before the Lord. Seat down and learn of Him in His words, spend time in prayers and meditation on His words. In the name of Jesus we can change situations.

There is a prince of the power of the air manipulating this world order (Ephesians 2:2). As believers, we can rise with our authority IN THE NAME of JESUS and pull down the strongholds of Satan. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal (No! No!! No!!!), but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds in our minds; and in the same power to avenge every disobedience of the satanic forces; to stop his maneuvering in our paths and nations. (2 Corinthians 10: 3-6). Not by power nor by our might, but by the Spirit of the Lord.

Rise in these days and begin to pull down everything that is not of God! In the Name of Jesus! Let us pull down everything that is not of God. Let us build with the new.

There is no other name like the name of JESUS. In His Name, we have all the power and authority to exercise and enforce His redemptive benefits on us and for us. Hallelujah! Oh glory be to God on High! Glory be to God in the Highest! Glory to His Holy Name! Glory to the Lamb of God that was slain before the foundation! Glory to the Lamb on High. Glory to Him that has purchased redemption for us with His blood. Glory be to the Father that sits on the Throne forever and forever. The Self Sufficient God! The One whom no one created. He exists all alone by Himself. The One that was before any was! The One that was before no one! All alone in the carnal of eternity before the Son; before the Spirit. The Eternal Lord. Glory to You Father! Ancient of Days! Thank You! We came from You. In You we live and have our whole being! Thank You Father! Hallelujah!

In the name of Jesus, we command sickness and diseases to go from everyone whose hearts have being stirred up with Your Word in this minute. Let them experience and receive their healing right now! In the mighty name of Jesus! Beyond the healing, let them begin to quest and run after You the Living God. To desire You more than anything else. A new hunger for You. A new understanding. Thank You Father. For we asked in the mighty name of Jesus! Amen!
