I was reading through the book of Genesis on the Flood of Noah and I got to Genesis 8:21 and read: “…Then the Lord said in His heart…”

I was like, “Oh He said in His heart!

How did the writer of Genesis know what the Lord said in His heart?” They spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. So He revealed what’s in the heart of God to the writer. “But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:10

By the time I got to the last scripture on Proverbs 1:23 I was like I see!

“…Surely I will pour out my Spirit on you; I will make my words known to you.” Proverbs 1:23

The Lord said in His heart… fascinated me! No wonder You said You know the thoughts that You think towards us; thoughts of peace and not of evil, and You have given us a known future and a hope through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Jeremiah 29:11. Thank You!

So He has thoughts! Interesting. That sounds so relatable that we are like Him.

My aspiration is to meet this writer of Genesis (amongst many) and ask him how he got all this revelation in retrospect. Ask the Holy Spirit to replay the moments on earth when he was receiving this revelation. Maybe we can use one billion years doing that. And ask him how many days or years he spent writing all these? Who taught him how to write?
