Forget not the orphans! I heard. Forget not those that anxiously desire better days. Looking earnestly to the help that comes from outside.
Is this not the fast that I have commanded thee – that you share your bread with the hungry? Clothe the naked? House the homeless? You call me Lord but seek your own. Every man seeks their own ways.
Where is my love? Where is my kingdom? Every man seeks his own things – his own food, shelter and clothes. But neglect my kingdom.
Every man lifts up their voices seeking their own. Will I hear them? Will I give them that they may consume upon their lust, their desires?
You seek me but for your belly. You knock on me for your own. The sick lie in pain and no one cries “Restore”. How long will I draw you but you will not.
Turn at my reproof that I may have mercy upon you.
You have sought me for your own good. Your prophets prophesy my benefits to you but my kingdom lies waste. Repent your ways and seek my kingdom. You say to one “The Lord will provide for you” but withhold your hands from doing goods. Shall a hungry man be filled with your words?
Seek my kingdom! Seek my glory! Turn from your ways! Feed my poor and clothe my nakedness. So shall I come down like a mighty rain and bless you.
Forget not the orphans that I have placed in your midst. Seek my kingdom. Seek my glory. Forsake your ways and live.

I was praying in the early hours of the morning and I hear this clearly in my spirit – half a vision and half an utterance. Then it occurred to me that the Lord is speaking from Isaiah 58: 5 – 8 that says. “Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke? Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not hide yourself from your own flesh? Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.”
Also from Matthew 6: 33 – “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
And of course, the scary one was in Matthew 25: 31 – 44:
“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.
And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
“Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
“Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’
“Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
May the Lord teach us and strengthen us to walk worthy of Him all the days of our live!
